JANIS JOPLIN & THE KOZMIC BLUES BAND
featuring Johnny Winter
One Hot Winter Night [Gardener Remaster, 1CD]

Live at the Boston Music Hall, Boston, MA; December 11, 1969 (early show). Fairly to very good audience recording.

Thanks to goody for sharing the show at Dime.

Gardener Remaster Notes:

First of all, thank you to Mesquite for originally providing this gem to us. For this remastered edition, I first rectified the speed which was slightly too fast and corrected the balance between the channels. Then I restored the bass and high ends, cleaned some parasite noises in the middle freqs and boosted Janis vocals and the brass a little. The whole thing sounds a lot clearer now. VG+ at least, I’d say.

goody noted:

This is a straight reseed of Gardener’s own remaster. Not my work. The files were on my drive and needed to be on the tracker too.

davmar77, Dime:

Janis played the Boston Music Hall this night. Johnny Winter was playing later that night at the Tea Party but was able to sit in at Janis’ early show at the Music Hall. She had outgrown the Tea Party by this time and even played Madison Square Garden on this tour and I believe Winter joined her at that show too if I remember correctly.
