MILES DAVIS
Bergen 1988 [no label, 2CD]

Live at the Grieghallen, Bergen, Norway; October 25, 1988. Complete FM radio broadcast.

Thanks to RatedX for sharing the show at Dime.

RatedX noted:

- Thank you to Jazzbrat for the many Miles shows you shared with me in the late ’90s. It was/is greatly appreciated.
- No music is missing from when I received it
- I slightly re-track the tunes to my liking. For some it might not be perfect but again its never easy with Miles, most of you know what I am talking about :)
- Track 2: Intruder is incomplete as it fades in from the prior Radio comment, the music already started. But no music is missing from that Broadcast as I received it.
- Track 14: Carnival Time fades out at 0:23 and fades back in at 0:25. I removed the dead air in between. As it fades back in, the first few bars are a repeat of the prior fade out. I didn’t want to alter any of it as I am not an expert in doing so. Go for it goody, flambay, plaz… :)
- I left all the radio comments in as they bring an authentic feel from the radio broadcast + its different languages, I travel that way.

- On a personal note I really appreciate Miles interaction with Kenny on Tomaas starting at 6:09. Specially with the subtle notes at the 8:36 mark but at 8:58 it kills me. That whole sequence is just… Thank you Miles, the tone, the notes, the subtility, the depth, the feeling of all of it is what made you Miles. You are one bad motherfucker then and now and I love you for it always.

Enjoy this show and Miles from 1945 to 1991 and forever…

I do not know the origin of that Broadcast and its lineage but Jazzbrat shared it with me so even I haven’t ask Him, I will make this show as a him and I upload. I got more but it takes time…

Lastly I want to thank all of you who have been sharing Miles’s shows over the years that it is here or somewhere else in any shapes or forms. And a big thank you to plaz you are a treasure :)
