The Ultimate Concert For World Peace! Vol 1
Featuring The Olde Lamplighter and The Outta Sites [no label, 1CD]
Live at Joe’s Great American Bar & Grill, Burbank, CA; November 15, 2014. Very good audience stereo.
On November 11 (Veterans Day), The Concert For Valor 2014 was held at the Mall in Washington, DC and drew as many as 800,000 people, not to mention the millions who watched it on TV.
A few days later, over at Joe’s Great American Bar & Grill in Burbank, CA, and with only a fraction of the crowd, The Ultimate Concert For World Peace! was held, featuring The Olde Lamplighter, The Outta Sites, The Dave & Deke Combo and Los Staightjackets with Deke Dickerson.
While the Washington Valor concert was all about military camaraderie, the Burbank show poked fun at Obama, terrorists, life in the USA, rednecks and even Kenny Rogers.
Best to avoid, like The Olde Lamplighter show, if you are sensitive to race jokes.

hitwitstuff2 noted:
The Olde Lamplighter: This kicked off an amazing night of humor and music. Well, the less said the better. Hillbilly humor at its finest in the grand tradition of Hee Haw. Basically it’s Deke Dickerson dressed as a stereotype very old American male complete with flag-adorned walker singing cantankerous old right-wing American lyrics to old country songs spun by DJ Dan Moses.
The Outta Sites: Must be tough to know you’re on the slot following a legend like The Olde Lamplighter, but it was up to The Outta Sites to tackle the task and tackle it they did! A seriously entertaining set augmented by two beautiful dancing girls (Susannah Stevens and Dinah DeRosa).

hitwitstuff2: “Regarding the final track, I spoke with Jason after the set and asked him what was happening; he was unplugging and turning things down mid-song to stop the feedback. Turns out it wasn’t feedback, he had left the not in use Theremin on. Neither of us could explain why it was picking up radio seconds before tweaking out he PA.”
The Outta Sites:
Chris “Sugarballs” Sprague - lead vocals, guitar
Zack Simpson - bass, backing vocals
Pete Curry - drums, backing vocals
