Klezmer-jazz* so that this should almost be seen as an Italian copy of Electric Masada or Don Byron… it seems very good, though, thus John Zorn himself got Gabriele Coen on his own Tzadik label for a few albums, and a third CD to be called “Sephirot” is due to come out on 2016… from that album about jewish mysticism, a few tracks are premiered here (Keter; Hod; and Chokhmah). Interviews and intros are in Italian. All tracks are by Coen, except for Mahshav (John Zorn) and Merry Go Round (Pietro Lussu).
* Klezmer is a musical tradition of the Ashkenazi Jews of Eastern Europe. Played by professional musicians called klezmorim, the genre originally consisted largely of dance tunes and instrumental display pieces for weddings and other celebrations.
