SANTANA
Crickets And Angels 1974 [ACE248, 1CD]
Live at the Balboa Stadium, San Diego, CA; July 28, 1974. Fairly to very good FM broadcast.
While this radio broadcast featured mainly the “hits and classics,” it’s only the track, Going Home, that dates this from the group’s Welcome album (1973).
Thanks to the person who shared this on the net in 2005.
Uploader’s notes:
I have two copies of this show, one taken from a vinyl bootleg which runs in the order of the actual gig, the other from a trade CD (which was taken from a CD version of the boot). The latter has the tracks in the wrong order but becuase this is better quality I have used this as the main source and just added the track that was missing from the vinyl boot.
The actual running order for the concert was as follows, the boot CD was cut in a different order for some reason:
Going Home
Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen
Oye Como Va
Incident At Neshabur
Soul Sacrifice
Samba Pa Ti
Toussaint L’Overture
Lineage:
Track 1: Vinyl Boot > cassette > Goldwave > Wav > CDR > EAC > WAV > Flac
Tracks 2-8: CD Boot > Trade CD > EAC > WAV > Flac
