The Jacksons will headline this year’s BBC Proms in the Park, to be held in Hyde Park on Saturday, September 12. The band – originally led by Michael Jackson – now consists of founding members Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon Jackson. They’re expected to perform a set built around their hits from the ’70s and ’80s including Blame It On The Boogie, ABC, I’ll Be There and Can You Feel It. Tenor Russell Watson, soprano Danielle de Niese and trumpeter Alison Balsom will also perform at the outdoor spectacular.
Speaking to Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2, The Jacksons said: “We’re looking forward to coming to London, to Hyde Park, and when we get there we’re going to be singing all the greats, and we’re going to have a really big party. We always bring great weather over from California!”

The Jacksons put on a rousing show but they will always have to contend the memory of Michael.
