BOB BURNS R.I.P. 1950-2015
Drummer Robert “Bob” Burns of Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd died in a car crash on April 3, 2015, a Georgia State Patrol spokesman said. Burns, 64, died after his car hit a mailbox and a tree in Cartersville. No other cars were involved in the crash, which occurred shortly before midnight. Burns helped to form Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1964 with Gary Rossington and Larry Junstrom and remained until 1974, although by some accounts he left the band for a while during the early 1970s.

glasnostrd19 noted: “I trust HB and LB, this is probably the best we’ll get from this one. I like ’70s music most even now, but the SQ of a lot of those “unknown many gen” sources of those shows is not too easy to listen to (especially shows with Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Led Zep, Uriah Heep, and these guys.) This should be a welcome improvement.
