The Staves are an English acoustic folk rock trio of sisters from Watford, Hertfordshire, England. Made up of Emily, Jessica and Camilla, they began performing as The Staveley-Taylors at open-mic nights. The band’s debut album, Dead & Born & Grown, was released in November 2012. The second full length album, “If I Was”, was released March 23, 2015.

Appearing on one of the festival’s most scenic and serene stages in the afternoon, the trio brought a set filled with hits and harmonies. Playing heavily off their latest album If I Was, which was produced by Justin Vernon, the three sisters were joined on stage for a blissful rendition of ‘Make It Holy’, which features the Bon Iver man on vocals.
Elsewhere across the set, the three piece wowed the relaxed crowd with their luscious brand of pop-influenced folk, providing moments of both intimacy and joy. Emotional and candid tracks gloriously polarised the more optimistic material like latest single ‘Teeth White’, culminating in a performance that felt both resonantly intriguing and delightfully warming, with just the right amount of cinematic moments.
