Live at The Roxy, Los Angeles, CA; 1986. Very good FM broadcast. Live at the Rockin’ Umbria Festival, Umbertide, Italy; August 29, 1987. Fairly to very good soundboard (vinyl rip).
There was a time in the early to mid-’80s in the UK when The Jesus And Mary Chain could do no wrong. With their wall-of-feedback and melodic tunes, fans were lapping up both Psychocandy (1985) and Darklands (1987) and their hit single, Some Candy Talking, and you have the NME proclaiming this Scottish group “the best band in the world”. The hyperbole notwithstanding, they were and are still a pretty hot band.
